Job Description

This is a 6-month mandate based in Youssoufia, Morocco.


The mandate is part of the Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP) Equality in Action, which is being implemented in 12 countries and 3 regions over an eight-year period (2020–2028). The VCP aims to increase the involvement of local partners in developing countries in inclusive, innovative, and sustainable development initiatives that advance gender equality. Oxfam’s role is to support these organizations, which work with the most vulnerable and marginalized populations, in claiming and exercising their rights. Oxfam places the rights of women, girls, and vulnerable and marginalized people at the heart of all its actions.


Your daily responsibilities will include:

In close collaboration with the Oxfam team in Morocco and the partner organization Kholoud, the advisor will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the partner in mapping donors and the financial landscape;
  • Assisting in the development of a resource mobilization strategy and action plan;
  • Supporting the implementation of resource mobilization practices and tools;
  • Exploring alternative and innovative funding opportunities with the partner;
  • Contributing to the diversification and growth of the funding portfolio and building trust-based relationships with various donors;
  • Training the partner on resource mobilization;
  • Monitoring and researching new project proposal calls.


To be eligible for this mandate, you must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada;
  • Hold a university degree in international development, project or program management, or another relevant field;
  • Have at least 2 years of professional experience in financial resource mobilization, fundraising, or project management;
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Zoom;
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Be a good listener and show respect for the practices of local organizations;
  • Be fluent in spoken and written French.
