Job description
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for the management of technical documents related to the completion of the project.
Responsibilities
- Assist in leading the project team; takes initiative in managing information, establishing expectations and maintaining quality and cost effectiveness in the overall project
- Solicits vendors for pricing; recommends contract awards
- Assemble and prepare complete and well thought-out estimates; perform quantity takeoffs and bid evaluations; clarify specific information and assumptions
- Prepare accurate and concise contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders
- Chases and reviews subcontractor submittals, verifying conformance to contract documents
- Spots business development opportunities; performs follow-up calls chasing bids; helps to negotiate and close deals
- Handles multiple projects simultaneously at various stages and locations, applying a strong knowledge of construction trades.
Qualifications
- Strong Leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to muti-task
- Good problem solving skills
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and project management software, like Microsoft excel & Microsoft project
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Ability to work independently or as a team
- Have Procore experience, is a plus
- Able to assist and mentor PC with their roles.
