The Product Marketing Coordinator is a key support role in our product-driven organization. The incumbent will support market assessments, competitive intelligence reporting as well as analyze and recommend improvements for new product growth. This person must have a strong understanding of product economics, as well as an ability to analyze different product-related data sets to reach conclusions that contribute to growth. This position requires close collaboration with the Marketing/Product colleagues around the world, Sales, Operations and Finance.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Working with cross-functional teams: Assisting in cross-functional coordination for major product releases
• Conduct thorough research to identify market trends and determine potential opportunities
• Monitor competitors, identify strengths and weaknesses to inform product development strategies.
• Track and analyze new product data, identifying areas for improvement or growth opportunities and to create and share these insights monthly within the first 90 days of a new product launch
• Create and maintain product spec sheets, as well as product master data
• Share product assets (copy, features, enhanced content + specs) to Sales teams based on retailer-specific requirements (online and/or Brick & mortar)
• Tracking and organizing user feedback/reviews on top ecommerce platforms (Amazon, Walmart, Target)
• Lead the product creation process by submitting item request forms through our project management system as well as any new item pricing approval submission forms
• Support Product Managers with new item follow ups and packaging artwork approvals
• Coordinate with departments (Sales, Operations and CSR) to ship new product or packaging samples globally
• Create Purchase Orders for all Product team invoices and track expenses in budget tracker
• Contribute to sales line review presentations for sales pitches
• Add new products to the Bazaar Voice catalogue upon launch
• Review customer questions through Bazaar Voice application to help answer and uncover product issues
• Help with review programs by working with Stellar / Wholescale programs for product review seeding
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor of Commerce or Administration, Product or Brand Management (or in progress)
• 1-2 years’ experience in product marketing or product management
• Results focused and an analytical thinker with a background in data analysis
• Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix (product, price, promotional, place)
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking, background in Finance or Pricing a strong asset
• Up to date with latest trends and product management / product launch best practices
• Performance-driven individual with an ease of working with data and metrics and BI models
• Excellent communications skills with an ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Experience with MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word a must
• Experience with product master data, item initiations and maintenance, considered a bonus
• Knowledge of French and English required as this role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders across the world.
