Project Coordinator, Special Projects

We are searching for a skilled Project Coordinator to join our Special Projects team in Ajax, ON. Our ideal candidate is process oriented, has project management skills, excellent customer service skills, and a willingness to learn. This position reports to the Director of Special Projects for Ontario and is assigned to directly support Projects and Project Managers across Ontario.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Superintendent to support the planning and execution of ICI construction projects
  • Coordinate day-to-day site activities, including subcontractor follow-ups, progress tracking, and issue resolution
  • Assist with change management, including coordination of change orders for pricing and execution
  • Support quality control activities, including review of finishing work and management of deficiencies through project close-out
  • Prepare, track, and follow up on technical questions, RFIs, shop drawings, and samples in accordance with project requirements
  • Assist with project controls, including schedule updates, payment applications, and subcontractor billings
  • Coordinate with consultants and design professionals to ensure timely delivery of drawings, specifications, and construction support
  • Participate in site meetings and coordination meetings with internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Travel between the office and active job sites is required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering (construction, building, or civil) or technical studies diploma (construction, architecture, or civil)
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in a construction or project coordination role, with exposure to ICI projects Experience supporting active job sites and project teams (scheduling, documentation, coordination, reporting)
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project
  • Working knowledge of Procore considered an asset

Expected Compensation: $75,000-90,000
