Magil Construction Canada Inc. has an immediate opening for a Residential Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager to work with our team at our Richmond, BC office!
Responsabilités
- Plan, direct, and ensure the implementation and successful completion of one or more construction projects.
- Consult with the client and stakeholders to determine the specific controls to the project and ensure the quality of execution and avoid non-compliance that could delay the work.
- Ensure the follow-up of the services rendered by the consultants (drawings, specifications, supervision or works, acceptance of works).
- Promotes Magil health and safety program.
- Draft the contracts of consultants, specialists, and contractors.
- Lead project site meetings with stakeholders, subcontractors and design professionals.
- Prepare and manage project monthly progress billings to client.
- Manage and track project costs including monthly forecasting.
- Manage change orders between professionals and subcontractors for cost estimation and work execution.
- Develops and implements project schedule including monitoring and updating.
- Monitor and manage project deficiencies to ensure timely completion.
- Manage and direct project coordinator(s) and provide coaching / mentorship.
- Communicate clearly and promote teamwork with Magil project staff and subcontractors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction engineering, civil engineering, building engineering or holds a technology diploma in construction, architecture or civil.
- 5 to 10 years of experience with residential wood frame structures.
- Strong knowledge of trade contract, plans and specifications, project set-up pertaining to all things on submittals.
- Knowledge City of Vancouver requirements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, current construction practices and methodology including understanding of construction costs and budgeting. Strong understanding project management planning processes.
- Quality Assurance / Quality Control knowledge in setting up and planning to assist site.
- Contract negotiation and management skills with an in-depth understanding of contract documents.
- Proficient with MS Office and MS Project software.
- Knowledge of Procore management software (an asset).
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- LEED accreditation (an asset).
- Gold Seal Certification (an asset).
- Ability to travel is a requirement.
