Accounts Payable Administrator

As an Accounts Payable Administrator with The Cahill Group, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our corporate and project delivery teams across Canada. You play a key role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of invoices and distribution of payments in a timely and efficient manner. Your attention to detail, strong knowledge of accounting principles, and commitment to adherence to financial policies and regulations will be vital in this position.

The Accounts Payable Administrator will possess excellent communication skills by demonstrating and maintaining strong supplier relationships with our clients and contractors. You will also ensure financial accuracy while supporting the financial operations of the organization, all while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. This will be a permanent position, working Monday through Friday from our corporate office.

What will you do?

  • Match packing slips to invoices and check against Purchase Orders
  • Advise on Purchase Orders that will exceed the posted/approved amount and identify any discrepancies in price/quantity/credits/returns by liaising with procurement, site teams, project managers, and suppliers
  • Post invoices
  • Receive and review posted invoices from other Cahill offices
  • Prepare and reconcile month-end supplier statements and prepare payments
  • Prepare demand payments for all companies on a weekly or as-needed basis
  • Receive and answer questions regarding accounts and processes
  • Communicate throughout the day with coworkers, supplier phone calls, and supplier emails
  • Perform other duties as required

What will you bring?

  • Two or more years of accounts payable experience is required
  • Diploma in a relevant field of study
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
