Our Client, leaders in the field of Dermaceuticals is seeking a Senior Accountant for full-time, permanent employment. They have been leaders in the field for over 25 years by providing the highest quality Cosmetic Skin Care products and the latest in Spa and Medical Spa Equipment to clients around the globe. As a senior accountant, reporting to the financial controller, you will independently analyze financial records and reports. Senior accountants regulate and authenticate financial transactions, ensuring effectiveness and accuracy of accounting tasks. It is your job to balance accounts, and confirm and verify bank statements.

Responsibilities

  • Use the ASPE standards and practices to ensure financial documents comply.
  • Direct other employees and Junior Accountants.
  • Put together payroll for their company.
  • Resolve financial problems, performing audits, and analyzing profit loss.
  • Lead the monthly accounting close process & prepare financial statements, including analytical review of monthly operating results, to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.
  • Weekly Cash Flow Preparation.
  • Filing of quarterly sales tax returns for Canada and the United States.
  • Assist with financial statement audits, including tax accruals and coordination with external auditors.
  • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of combined overall experience in accounting and finance.
  • Advanced degree in accounting, business degree in accounting or equivalent.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software: SAP Business One.
