To increase representation of the communities across the vast province of Ontario please select the geographical area that best describes your area of work/residence.

Central Region - The Central region of Ontario consists of the economic regions of Muskoka-Kawarthas-Kitchener-Waterloo-Barrie and Hamilton-Niagara Peninsula as defined by Statistics Canada including the Census Metropolitan Areas (CMAs) of St. Catharines-Niagara-Hamilton and Kitchener-Waterloo. The region includes such cities as Peterborough-Orangeville-Guelph-Barrie and Brantford

Eastern Region - The Eastern region consists of the economic regions of both Ottawa and Kingston-Pembroke including the CMAs of Ottawa and Kingston. Cities include Cornwall-Brockville-Belleville and Petawawa

Greater Toronto Area (GTA) - The GTA refers to the economic region of Toronto as defined by Statistics Canada. It includes the municipalities of Ajax-Aurora-Bradford West Gwillimbury-Brampton-Brock-Caledon-Clarington-East Gwillimbury-Georgina-Georgina Island-Halton Hills-King-Markham-Milton-Mississauga-Newmarket-Oakville-Oshawa-Pickering-Richmond Hill-Scugog-Toronto-Uxbridge-Vaughan-Whitby and Whitchurch-Stouffville

Northern Region - The Northern region includes the economic regions of the Northeast and Northwest as defined by Statistics Canada including the CMAs of Thunder Bay and Sudbury. Cities include Sault Ste. Marie-Timmins-Kirkland Lake-Dryden-Kenora and Fort Frances

Southwest Region - The Southwest region includes the economic regions of London-Windsor-Sarnia and Stratford-Bruce Peninsula as defined by Statistics Canada including the CMAs of London and Windsor. Cities include Chatham-Ingersoll-Sarnia-Stratford-Goderich and Owen Sound.

Why are you interested in serving on the Ontario One Call Board of Directors? *

7.12 of Ontario One Call By-Law 1 sets out the Qualifications of Directors:

(a) Every Elected Director shall:

(i) be eighteen (18) or more years of age;

(ii) not have the status of bankrupt;

(iii) not be a person who has been found under the Substitute Decisions Act, 1992 or under the Mental Health Act, to be incapable of managing property;

(iv) not be a person who has been found to be incapable by any court in Canada or elsewhere; and

(v) not be an Excluded Person.

By-Law 1 defines an "Excluded Person" as follows: (i) Any employee of the Corporation; (ii) Any individual who has been within the preceding 12 month period an employee of the Corporation; (iii) Any person who is an immediate family member of an employee of the Corporation, including a spouse, parent, child, sibling or other person who has an economic dependence on the employee; and (iv) Any person who is an employee of a trade association representing the interests of one of the subcategories of Members.
