SALARY RANGE: $59,000 - $64,000 per annum

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director, Creative, the Junior Graphic Designer supports the development and execution of visual communications across the Foundation. Working closely with more senior designers and the broader creative team, you will assist in producing high-quality digital and print materials that align with brand standards and support Foundation goals.

This role offers the opportunity to grow your design skills through hands-on experience, mentorship, and collaboration with writers, producers, managers, and other stakeholders. You will contribute to projects at various stages of the creative process while learning to manage timelines, apply brand guidelines, and deliver thoughtful design solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting the design of campaigns, assets, and tactics across digital and print channels
  • Assisting with the preparation and execution of design files for print and digital production
  • Applying brand standards and guidelines consistently across all creative work
  • Collaborating positively with members of the creative team and internal stakeholders
  • Incorporating feedback from senior designers and project leads in a timely and professional manner
  • Supporting production tasks such as asset resizing, layout updates, and versioning
  • Contributing ideas and creative input during brainstorming and concept development sessions
  • Helping maintain organized design files and workflows

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • A link to your portfolio is required to be considered
  • A relevant 3 or 4-year degree or diploma in graphic design or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in a graphic design role, internship, or co-op placement (in-house or agency)
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and internet-based tools
  • Foundational understanding of design principles and layout
  • Basic knowledge of print production and digital formats
  • Any motion/animation skills and experience considered a plus
  • Willingness to learn best practices across print and digital channels
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with guidance
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and take direction constructively
  • Demonstrated professionalism when interacting with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated motivation, curiosity, and openness to learning

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Fast-paced, service and results oriented environment
  • May have some activity outside of the office to support meetings
  • The Foundation has a hybrid work model. Staff will be required to be in office a minimum of 2 days per week and will be required to have a safe home office set up for the remainder of the working days (specifics to be planned with your manager).
  • Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues in all positions throughout the Foundation
