SALARY RANGE: $75,000 - $80,000 per annum

POSITION SUMMARY

The Email & Digital Fundraising Specialist is responsible for developing, deploying and optimizing email and digital fundraising campaigns and platforms. This role combines technical expertise in email coding with strategic execution of marketing automation, audience segmentation and performance analysis. The role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all email communications follow best practice and improves email performance metrics. It also supports general digital platform management and performance optimization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Email Production

  • Manage email production from start to finish
  • Review and QA email copy, creative, and design to ensure alignment with best practices and optimal performance
  • Build responsive, mobile-friendly HTML/CSS emails using best practices, ensuring platform compatibility, accessibility and optimization for performance
  • Create & maintain dynamic and reusable email templates
  • Implement dynamic content and personalization using merge tags or scripting
  • Develop and maintain automated journeys and provide best practice recommendations
  • Support audience segmentation, list management and performance
  • Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance of emails before deployment
  • Validate and troubleshoot rendering issues
  • Set up, schedule and maintain email campaigns in the marketing automation platform

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive email calendar for the Foundation, proactively resolving conflicts based on strategic priorities and recommending cadence for improvements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure email campaigns align with donor journeys and organizational goals
  • Support cross-functional email marketing, fostering collaboration, skills development and alignment on best practices
  • Work with the Privacy Officer and Data & Integration teams to oversee email compliance framework for email marketing, collection, consent tracking of email data

Data Insights

  • Deliver regular reporting on email performance, benchmarking against organizational and industry standards.
  • Aggregate and share testing results for email campaigns to inform strategy and continuous improvements
  • Identify opportunities to improve email performance metrics (KPIs) through data-driven insights and best practices
  • Support integration and automation between fundraising platforms and Raiser’s Edge

Digital Fundraising Support

  • Support organization‑wide digital fundraising campaigns and cross‑channel initiatives
  • Assist with the management, optimization, and performance reporting of digital fundraising platforms, including donation forms and event tools
  • Provide day‑to‑day project coordination to support timely execution of digital initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years experience in planning and executing digital and email marketing
  • Strong proficiency in HTML/CSS for email
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (Mail Chimp, Constant Contact etc.)
  • Knowledge of email deliverability and best practices
  • Understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards
  • Experience with QA tools for email rendering and spam testing
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and tracking (UTM parameters, click tracking)
  • Experience working with online fundraising platforms (ex. Luminate Online, Engaging Networks, Fundraise Up, Funraisin etc.)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Fast-paced, service and results oriented environment
  • May have some activity outside of the office to support meetings
  • The Foundation has a hybrid work model. Staff will be required to be in office a minimum of 2 days per week and will be required to have a safe home office set up for the remainder of the working days (specifics to be planned with your manager).
  • Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues in all positions throughout the Foundation
