The Opportunity

Medicom is seeking a motivated Quality Lab Intern to join our team for a 4 to 8 months internship starting May 2026. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting quality documentation, risk management, and process validation activities within a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will contribute to the development and implementation of the Quality Lab and Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 13485 and Canadian MDSAP regulatory requirements.

This posting is for a newly created internship position to support our growing manufacturing operations.

What You Will Do
  • Collaborate with internal and external personnel to gain understanding of processes and key testing required
  • Review relevant documentation (ASTM standards, SOPs and others) to support the development of internal testing work instructions
  • Assist in drafting documentation (work Instructions, forms, SOPs among others)
  • Support in lab equipment tracking, installation, and validation initiative
  • Use laboratory equipment in accordance with established testing methods

May include other related duties as required, provided such duties are reasonable and consistent with the employee’s qualifications and role responsibilities.

What You Bring
  • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree or diploma program (e.g., Biotechnology, Chemical Laboratory Technology, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field).
  • Currently enrolled in a co-op program through a recognized post-secondary institution and eligible to complete a full-time work term.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Available to work full-time (Monday–Friday) on-site at our London, Ontario manufacturing facility for the duration of the internship.

Assets

  • Experience working in a laboratory environment with mechanical, physical, or chemical testing equipment (e.g., tensile testing instruments, FTIR, viscometer).
  • Knowledge of Laboratory equipment brands and how testing equipment works.
  • Knowledge of good documentation practices etc.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $22 to $24 per hour.
