Atlantica is looking for our next Financial Accountant based in our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia office. At Atlantica we execute commercial and industrial construction projects and services in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. What will you do as the Financial Accountant?

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and associated workpapers for review and submission to stakeholders.
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and related variance analysis with a focus on improving efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure general ledger accounts are reconciled monthly including deferred revenue and work-in-progress and that all reconciling items are resolved.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances between related parties including divisions, companies, and joint ventures.
  • Be responsible for the inventory subledger and facilitate inventory counts and associated correcting entries.
  • Act as a liaison between the auditors and Atlantica to address auditor queries in a timely manner.
  • Lead and/or support finance related projects with a focus on workflow efficiency and process improvement, ensuring changes align with corporate strategy.
  • Promote team development and foster an efficient and collaborative work environment.
