Project Coordinator

The Cahill Group is recruiting technical and collaborative candidates for a Project Coordinator to join our dynamic project team on a contract basis in Labrador, NL. In this position, you play a fundamental role in our key projects while supporting a multi-disciplinary team. As a Project Coordinator with Cahill, you act as a point of contact for all field-related technical inquiries for various projects while supporting the preparation of material takeoffs, estimates, budgets, and schedules for ongoing work scopes. You will also assist with Quality initiatives, such as developing inspection and test plans, verifying welder qualifications, and final weld visual inspection when required.

As a Project Coordinator, you possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to establish professional working relationships with peers, subcontractors, and clients. This is a contractual position, with the following work scope:

  • Start Date: March 2025
  • Location: Labrador, NL
  • Duration: Approximately 10 months
  • Schedule: TBD (2x1 or 2x2 rotational basis)

What will you do?

  • Establish and build good relationships with peers and clients by responding to requests and communicating information in a timely manner, exercising initiative and judgment to complete recurring assignments.
  • Address technical inquiries in the field for various projects and maintain working relationships with the client and other subcontractors.
  • Complete purchase requisitions and material expediting and control.
  • Assist with preparation of material takeoffs, estimates, budgets and schedules.
  • Review and understand scope of work, project specifications, design instructions, and supplier information.
  • Liaise with Clients and Regulatory Authorities on project related issues.
  • Develop and ensure all requirements of Inspection and Test Plans are followed and verified.
  • Verify and maintain welder qualification records.
  • Monitor welding and carry out final weld visual inspection.
  • Request and verify NDE completion.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify material in accordance with specifications and client requirements.
  • Maintain traceability as required by client and certifying authorities.
  • Prepare final documentation for handover.
  • Assist in creating a culture of quality awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement in the organization.

What will you bring?

  • 5 – 7 years of relevant technical experience, or a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • CWB Level 2 Certification would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of ASME, CSA codes and standards.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Authority Requirements.
  • Communication skills for liaising and communicating with Client and Regulatory Authority.
  • Experience with weld mapping, as-built drawings, visual inspection, and quality control.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • A keen eye for detail and a results driven approach.
