Atlantica is recruiting for innovative and collaborative candidates for a Tool Crib Driver position in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Tool Crib Manager, and working in an exciting and collaborative environment, you will: 

  • Operate and drive over local routes and long distances, adhering to transportation laws and maintaining safe driving record.
  • Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods where applicable.
  • Deliver and pick up a wide variety of items to various locations as required.
  • Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of delivery.
  • Meet delivery deadlines.
  • Perform pre-trip, enroute and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories.
  • Ensure that company vehicles are always clean and presentable.
  • Maintain activity logs and other documentation relating to deliveries.
  • Work in the tool crib receiving materials and completing the required documentation.
  • Assist other departments when required.

Who are we looking for?

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Minimum 3 years driving experience, preferably with condition 15 endorsement.
  • Clear driving abstract
  • Experience driving with a trailer, preferably 5th wheel.

  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • A positive, solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines.

Job Details:

  • Full-time
  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
